What is the time for Check-in and Check-out?


Check-in begins at 3:00 pm and Check-out is no later than 10:00 am.

What's the WiFi information?


We are happy to provide free Wi-Fi for anyone’s use. The Wi-Fi is open, and the motel hosts two networks, NETWORKS: Seagull Bay and Seagull Bay Motel. PASSWORD: lakeside




Can I get ice for my room?


There is ice available in the small building with the deck across the parking lot. Ice is free for use in your room. If you’re filling up a cooler, please purchase it by the bag for $2 and pay at the front desk.




Can I purchase drinks for my room?


We do not provide hard alcohol at the Seagull Bay Motel. There are water and soda available for purchase, any time of day, from the vending machine on the Ice House deck.




Are there hair dryers, irons and ironing boards in the rooms?


We do not have hair dryers or irons and ironing boards in the rooms. However, we do have them available in the office, and you’re welcome to take them back to your room for the length of your stay. Just let us know at check-in or call (715-779-5558) or text (715-200-4650) the front desk and we'd be happy to deliver them to your room.




What do I do if my door won't lock?


Seagull Bay is an older property with lots of character. That also means that some of the features are a little finnicky. One of those items being the door locks. While we are in the process of continually updating the property, we want to share the secret to the door locks with you. Although it looks like you need to twist the locks are actually push-button locks. Push in the button and pull the door shut, the key will not lock the door.




Can I control the temperature in my room?


The front desk controls room temperatures with an electric storage unit. Please bear with us as it may take some time to adjust the heat throughout the motel. The Seagull Bay Motel is a green hotel and a proud member of Travel Green Wisconsin. To conserve electricity, the heat/air is shut down from 9 pm to 6 am. Rooms may get warmer during this time, and an alternative method may be required to cool down space. Nighttime temperatures are seldom in the range where an air conditioner is needed, and in fact, none of our units have AC. However, we've found that a cracked window can substantially cool down a room, and there is a limited number of fans available to use during your stay. Please call (715-779-5558), or text (715-200-4650) the front desk, and we'd be happy to deliver one to your room. Please remember to close the window in the morning as what energy is stored during the evening is then used during the day. On chillier evenings, we have space heaters available in the office.




Is there a smoking area?


Seagull Bay Motel has been smoke-free since 1997. We are committed to providing a clean clear and fresh experience for you and any guest staying in the room following your stay. Renting a room means accepting our smoke-free policy. We do not permit smoking or the use of tobacco or tobacco products, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes,vape pens, hookahs, incense, or cigars. Also prohibited are burning candles, the use or diffusing of patchouli oil, or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils. Our smoke-free facility policy is not exclusive to the rooms. Smoking is not prohibited anywhere on the Seagull Bay property. There is no smoking area. Smoking of any kind will result in a $250 cleaning fee so that the room’s next guests will be able to enjoy the smoke-free experience we are committed to providing to all our guests. Guests are encouraged to notify the front desk staff immediately if they smell smoke.




Are there any noise restrictions?


We strive to provide a pleasant and relaxing experience for all of our guests. With this in mind, we do have quiet hours from 9 pm to 9 am. Please show respect for other guests and keep noise to a minimum between those hours. If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please contact management immediately by phone or in person. The volume of televisions, voices, or other devices must be kept at a respectful, level at all times. Please open and close doors quietly. If you are the cause of disruption to another guest, you may be asked to leave and will not be provided a refund.




Where can we park?


One free off-street parking space is typically available for each guest room. Additional off-street parking is very limited. Additional free parking is available on nearby streets, but please respect the neighboring businesses and do not park in their parking lots; your vehicle may be towed. Seagull Bay Motel is not responsible for damage to vehicles or for damage or loss of property in parked vehicles, regardless of location.




Are pets allowed?


The motel is dog-friendly and we welcome you and your canine friend to stay pending with approval. Please contact the front desk prior to your arrival. • There is a daily charge of $25 per dog. • Failure to check-in your pet(s) will result in a $50 fee. By bringing a dog you agree to abide by the full dog friendly facility policy: • Dogs are not to be left unattended or kenneled unattended in guest rooms; they must go with you at all times. • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their companion immediately on grounds and properly disposing of the waste in the outside dumpster or as otherwise designated. • Guests are responsible for payment of all repair and cleaning needs created by their dog. The minimum damage repair cost is $250. • Should your dog disturb the other motel guests, we will have no choice but to terminate the accommodation for your dog. Additionally, you will be held responsible for compensation given to other motel guests because of disturbances caused by your dog.
