An update from Seagull Bay Motel.

COVID-19 Prevention and Containment

March 17,2020 12:00pm

Your health & safety is of the utmost concern to us at Seagull Bay, and we want to be sure that you know we are doing everything possible to prevent anyone from getting sick. The following are measures that we have put in place to ensure the health and safety of both our community and visitors.

What the Seagull Bay is doing to Contain COVID-19

Any employee who starts to feel sick or who has a fever is required to stay home.

Hand sanitizing gel is provided in common areas throughout the property for the frequent use of guests and employees. As we have advised employees, we would also ask guests to please be sure to take good care of yourselves: get plenty of rest, drink lots of water, follow the advice of experts to wash your hands frequently with soap & water for 20+ seconds. We will do all check-in and outs via phone to keep contact limited.

Additional Seagull Bay Housekeeping Sanitation Procedures

In addition to our usual meticulous cleaning standards, the following sanitation processes have been implemented.

In common areas, our Seagull Bay housekeeping team is taking extra precautions to disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as front desk, door handles, coffee machines, etc.

In all units, in addition to regular cleaning, cleaning includes disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, appliance controls, faucets, thermostats, remote controls, and light switches. Seagull Bay housekeeping staff wear disposable gloves for cleaning/disinfecting, and the gloves are changed between rooms.

What to Know About Changes to Offerings to Visitors

Outdoor recreation is still being encouraged. Snowshoeing, sledding, hiking, Bayfield biking are all great activities to be doing out in nature.

Update to Seagull Bay Cancellation Policies: If you have a reservation that is booked through April 6, 2020. we will wave any cancelation fees due to COVID-19.

What to Do if You Think You Have Symptoms

If you or a family member exhibit symptoms of COVID-19: fever, cough, and shortness of breath, please call your primary care physician first. If you do not have a primary care physician, please call any primary care office or Urgent Care facility for further instructions.
