Fall in Bayfield

As fall is starting to show here in Bayfield, with changing colors, lots of apples, and cooler temps we wanted to share with you some wonderful fall ideas in Bayfield.

The views we don't need to elaborate on this much as they are pretty self-explanatory. We want you to come to enjoy them for yourself.



Hiking

The Brownstone trail easy walking path right in front of Seagull Bay - A Lakeside Motel goes into town about 10-15 minute walk or outside of town about 2 miles. Note: there is a small little detour on the trail don't let this steer you away from its worth it!


Houghton Falls easy a few mile hike out and back to see some amazing lake views and caves any hiking ability and family-friendly.


Myers Beach the long hike is worth it. You will hike about 2 miles out to the sea caves and you will instantly know why you decided to take this hike. The hike continues for about 4 more miles of amazing lake views and sea caves. It's one you won't forget.


Madeline Island Town Park a great little boardwalk starts your journey on to the sandy beach and lake views of the Apostle Islands. They even have some kayaks for rent to paddle around the park.


Big Bay State Park. The sandstone bluffs and 4 miles of shoreline are worth the ferry ride over themselves.


Lost Creek Falls in Cornucopia is a great hike to be out in nature and enjoy the beauty of mother nature. Kids love it too!


Farms


Erickson's

Family ran farm with a ton to explore. Don't miss the apple cider donuts they are famous here in Bayfield. Not to mention all the other baked goods with in-season fruits!


Hauser's farm was founded in 1908. Nestled on a hill overlooking the Lake Superior, the farm still has many of the original heirloom apple trees planted more than 100 years ago. Apfelhaus Cidery is found right inside Hauser's farm as well, its a do not miss drink in Bayfield.


Highland Valley Farms features our fresh-picked berries in season, frozen berries, honey, beeswax candles, maple syrup, and Pike's Creek wine.
